Artistically Inclined takes an "old school" approach, with the fabrication as well as the customer interaction. Starting with personal consultations in your home or my shop. I want to be sure that we begin and end with every detail covered. I build old school gang style, large pieces of furniture style cabinetry come together to create your kitchen, not a bunch of modular boxes all screwed together. Not just a box with a door on it! Prior to creating even the first rough draft of your project. I encourage clients to pull out all those magazines with folded page corners, pics on your tablet or phone, folders created on design sites, etc. All telling me "what you like". This allows me to get inside your head. It could be just one small detail in that picture, one little thing you like about that particular design, another detail that you like from a different picture, etc. etc. We then take all those little details and apply them to your project. We take the time to cover all the little things that make your project special to "you". Creating personalized space in your Kitchen, Vanity, Media Wall, Hutch, etc. Clever desk/work space, recycling centers, specialty baking stations, divided storage to fit "your" items in exactly the way you need them. The Cabinetry I create is designed for each particular owner, and it is not just a box with a door on it! Your project is not being fabricated in a large facility among several others being done at the same time. There will be no..."Oh I'm sorry, I don't offer that". I build one creation at a time, placing full concentration on every detail of "your project. I want you to visit my shop to see your project as it progresses. The goal is to fit desire to fact...vision to reality. All to be sure that the outcome is everything you wish it to be!
HEIRLOOM QUALITY
A craftsman of over 30 years building "Gang Style" cabinetry. Creating full walls of cabinets, not several modular boxes all screwed together. This is the way it used to be done. This is the old school Artisan approach to craftsmanship. At the same time, utilizing more modern joinery techniques which far surpass the norm, No hot glue, no face frames simply nailed to it's box. Hidden mechanical fasteners join these parts together, techniques which ensure that your creation will stand the test of time. I also take a "Green" approach to woodworking, using products from suppliers who deal with sustainable forest products. As well as offering high quality, no/low VOC finishes on all builds.
COMMISIONED BESPOKE
Commissioned peices are more than welcome in my shop. With the piece above, a client brought me a photo of something similar. When taking a commision from a client, it is of utmost importance to be able to get inside their head in order to determine exactly the source of their appeal It is often difficult to get a clear understanding of what a client is truely looking for., to get a true understanding of their perspective and desired result. Perhaps when on vacation you snapped a pic of a piece that you wished were in your room. Lets take that design...stretch our imagination...give it a tweak...a different point of view and perfectly...uniquely...yours.
THIS AS WELL...
I have over 20 years of extensive experience creating custom tile applications. The perfect escort to beautiful woodcraft. The tile in a master ensuite surrounding that handcrafted furniture style vanity...the wow factor backsplash at the back of your new wall of artisan cabinetry...
When working with natural stone, we have uninhibited oppurtunity for unlimited design. This done by purchasing large format tiles and cutting them into whatever size and shape needed to create that one of a kind design. Large format tile transformed into cmall apttern hearingbone...chevrons...etc. I as well apply profile & polish dierctly to these pieces to fabricate my own bullnose/trim. I am also highly proficient with warm-wire (not mats) heated floors, perfect for those cold winter days.

LETS TALK PAYMENT AND PROCESS
In an effort to ease the process and make the entire experience more comfortable. I offer low money up front. 10% when quote is accepted to lock in time frame, once we have design in place and drawings approved, an additional 35% to start fabrication, balance at delivery and start of installation Once my price is accepted, we get to work designing your project. When we have the idea and general layout decided, I create drawings to present to you, if needed these are reworked until we get it right. I don't nit pick on small changes we might make, no annoying "change orders/price adjustments". Unless these changes are significant...my price is my price and stays solid, no surprises.
When doing a build for you in my shop, I invite you visit to see your project come to life. Giving your 2 cents...making sure we are on the same page. With this, we are both certain that everything is as expected when it arrives at your home. This unheard-of manner of doing things is an effort to make it a more personable experience. This process is unheard of in the cabinet industry, visiting my shop as I build your project allows you to see the work done and quality of it as it comes to life. I can show you all the pretty pictures...talk the talk. But unless I've previously done work for you or perhaps someone you know, walking the walk comes only at a happy and beautiful completion. My prices are actually fair, my payment process an alternative to handing over a large chunk of money..."see ya when I see ya"... and crossing your fingers that all goes well.
Upon receiving my quote, if you have not already, I encourage you to compare. For example... get a price from the big box store or cabinet retailer for their "top of the line". My price will beat that by at least 25%. For a handcrafted heirloom quality product that you are able to witness the construction of. These "mail order" cabinetry suppliers have to pay their vendors less than half of the 50% you give them up front. Your kitchen costs them less than half of what you pay. Yes...over 100% mark up. Some are even asking for the complete cost at time of order.
As with most kitchen remodels, there is always "other work" involved. From load bearing wall removal to relocation of utilities, etc. I have extensive experience with all aspects of this remodel process. Depending on my schedule/availability...I can assist you with the overwhelming task of dealing with such a project. At the very least, I will give you all the advice you need to be sure it's all done properly and not taken advantage of by overpriced contractors. My advice and guidance come at no charge.
